The passion for reading is developed by the amount of books a child comes across and reads. Until your child is able to read on his own, and thereafter, do not hesitate to read him all sorts of stories to bring him to a world of magic which is hidden behind every book cover. Reading allows your child to enrich his vocabulary as he is exposed to new words which he does not come across in his daily life.
In order to make reading a leisure activity rather than a homework or punishment, it is recommended to wisely choose the time for reading a book with your child. The time spent reading with your child is particularly appreciated when he is waking up, to start the day smoothly while giving him time to wake up completely. Similarly, reading with your little one at night is also enjoyable and sets a calm atmosphere which transits slowly into bed time.
